High point show horses in auction or sale :)
I usually go for those over 100 points now but started with those that had 50 points to get me going :)
Also keep some youngsters, in a few months they will start adding a good amount to your daily bonus :D

Oh and to find out how much a certain horse is earning you each day find their point total x 0.75 ÷ 7
Eg. 1000 x 0.75 ÷ 7 = 107 a day :)

It does take some time! What is needed is a lot of show points per horse. Do what ParadisePark said and stalk the auctions, you may find a good horse! But make sure that they're younger than 17, as otherwise they may age out of the game and you wont get your moneys worth.

Sometimes the very old ones can still be worth the money depending on the number of points they have and their price. Remember, they will earn you 75% of their total points in weekly show bonus plus any additional points they earn from continuing to show.

Let's say you see a 17+ year old horse with 1200 points up for sale/auction. It will earn you at least 900 hbs per week in show bonus. You can divide that number by 7 if you want to think of it in daily show bonus instead. If you own the horse for exactly 3 weeks before it ages out of the game, it will have earned you 2700 hbs, so if the horse costs less than that it's still worth buying even if it only lives for a short while. You just have to make sure you consider the price, how much it will earn in show bonus, and how much longer it will live.

Horses can't die until rollover, so even if you see one up for sale that's 25 years old, it's still guaranteed to live until the end of the month. They can start dying when they turn 18, so any horse that's 17+ could potentially age out of the game at rollover.
