Snowflake Appaloosa?
-
Is the Snowflake Appaloosa gene "no sharing" or is it just super new?
And if it is no sharing, is it "strict no sharing" or only share with others who own the snowflake gene?ID# 2353 -
It is not "no sharing," especially now that it is available in the GMT lab. People who have spent real money on it are likely to be selective about who they share with, but it was never a gene that Ammit put restrictions on sharing. It actually can appear in random creates, it is just almost impossible to find it unless you are breeding to a known homozygous snowflake. I breed for it on HJ1 and have so far found 3 random carrier mares in my herd (by having them produce homozygous foals when breed to the homozygous stallions I had payed to put it on).
All the genes that Ammit has restricted sharing for are fantasy genes and snowflake is a real variation of appaloosa.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses. Liver chestnut, DP mushroom, and rose gray riding horses. Dun cobs with all the patterns. Watercolor, Wrong Warp and ice on mixed body types.
