Cloning a horse
-
If I clone a horse can I take genes out and change gender to the clone?
-
If it's not a foundation, the usual rules about not changing any copy of a gene if the particular parent which contributed it does not have it still applies. The sire's contribution to the gene set comes first, and the dam's second. Example chCH--the champagne comes from the dam; Zz--the silver comes from the sire.
If you clone a foundation, I'm not sure how much you can change the genes, but I do remember reading posts from players who have changed the gender of a clone.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
