Couple Questions About My Baby
  • 1. Would her PT be considered high for a 2g?
    2. Will she grey out?

  • That's a really good score for a 2G and yes, she will gray out eventually.

  • 1. That is a high PT for a 2nd gen. Both of her parents are perfect foundations, and she must have gotten the absolute top contribution from both of them to have a 10.6 PT score. Were her parents in pasture, and her dam there for 30 days? That might help account for it.

    2. Yes, she will gray out. Even a single dominant Gray gene will have that effect.

  • She's a cutie. You got answers to both if you questions just wanted to say that any horse with varnish or grey will go completely white. Grey's are usually fully white before they are 10 years old. Vanish can keep color but wash out a lot. My oldest varnish was a chestnut and has kept color until 18. (Love varnish)

I am very forgetful so if I owe you anything but am taking to long please send me a PM. I don't get on to play the game as often as I once did but I am usually most active during the 2nd and 3rd week of each month
  • I believe her mom was in the pasture for around 13 days @SandyCreekFarm . Thanks everyone! I'm really happy about her :)
