It could be a couple of things, but the most likely is that you accidentally used the wrong box to enter the horses name, if you had a couple different herd helpers to use. Check the horses tattoo name to see. I've done that too many times to count!

I don't remember if the dark bay Tobi rabi herd helper turns off Greg, so it may be that you just got a dark bay tobiano rabicano that also happens to have grey. Especially if you created one that was older and had more time to grey out before it was 'born'.

(Darn it, spellcheck! If I want to spell Greg with an E you do NOT get to change it to Grey)

Is this the horse you are referring to? They are GG, so will grey out and will pass grey to every foal. At the bottom of the herd helper, beside the stars, if it doesn't say "homozygous recessive grey" I'm guessing there's a chance you could end up with it?

Here is the list of genes that are controlled for this herd helper (It just happens to be mine today.)

This herd helper triggers the following primary herd helpers (meaning that it will definitely have these on its gene test):
Heterozygous Black: Ee
Heterozygous Bay: Aa
Homozygous Rec. Cream: CC
Homozygous Rec. Dun: dd
Heterozygous Sooty: SstyS
Heterozygous Tobiano: KittoKit?
Heterozygous Rabicano: RbR

Everything else is random. You just happened to get a dominant Gray. And Kit20

I'd be glad to sell you another colt from this DHH if you'd like. One without Gray.
