I have a het. 2G foal mare that is het. KP and I have a straw from a 2g het. KP stud. The mare is w20w20 and he is w20kitr. So yhe resultinfoal will have 2 kit genes. So will my resulting foal be homo KP?

The result of crossing 2 het KP horses has a 25% chance of being homozygous KP, 50% chance of het KP, and 25% chance of no KP.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses. Liver chestnut, DP mushroom, and rose gray riding horses. Dun cobs with all the patterns. Watercolor, Wrong Warp and ice on mixed body types.

Your foal has a 25% chance of being homozygous KP, a 50% chance of being heterozygous KP, and a 25% chance of having no KP at all.
You can figure out these odds using a Punnett Square.
1. Make a grid with three columns and three rows.
2. The top left square is blank.
3. The sire's alleles for the gene in question, in this case KP, go into the other two top row slots. So--0 KP kp
4. The dam's alleles for the gene in question go into the other left hand slots. So--0 KP kp, reading down.
5. Now, in the middle spot on the 2nd column, insert the allele from the sire at the top and the allele from the dam to the left. KPKP
6. In the bottom spot of the 2nd column, insert the allele from the sire at the top and the allele from the dam to the left. KPkp
7. Move to the third column. In the middle spot in that column, insert the allele from the sire above and the one from the dam at the far left. kpKP
8. In the bottom spot of the 3rd column, insert the allele from the sire above and the one from the dam at the far left. kpkp
Here's an image of a Punnett Square for another gene, so you can picture what all those words will look like for the KP gene.
Note, since Ammit has reworked the Kit Mutation Load results, this Punnet Square may no longer be completely accurate, but it shows how the instructions work out for any gene, minus the chance of lethal consequences.
De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
