Chances are?
-
If the filly passes testing but the dam does not. What are the chances of the filly having non-passing offspring? I have a few fillies that passed when their dam did not. Don't want to just hold on to them for 4 months to find out they are 100% no good.
Thanks -
It means that while the mares started off sub-par to the standard for foundations, the fillies only had to compare to their dams, which means they'll likely be sub-par to 2g mares. I've had mares who later didn't pass SMA produce fillies who were top of their pasture, and even papered blue when their peers papered red. I've also had a 2g (or 3g? I'm not sure now...) mare paper Blue but not pass SMA. I'm not sure what to do with her...
