Secret Santa Nexus/Ice 8/Axiom/LE genes question

I don't have any LE genes in my herd, but my SS giftee does. Is it OK for me to pay another stable (who already has that gene) for a horse (if they're willing to sell), then the other barn can sell it directly to my SS giftee?

Gene Guide Update!
The sunshine gene, previously known only from one line of Standardbreds has been discovered in a TWH. The gene guide has been updated with this new information. Sunshine may be much wider spread than originally thought.1/27/2026 3:58 AM EST
