Poor shower...

http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=578897
I was wondering if a poor shower might make a better breeder? She is consistent but is coming in dead last in her shows except one. She is identical to her sire Dancer. I am wondering if she would be worth keeping or try to sell. -
It is impossible to evaluate whether a horse is a bad shower at level 1L because it's all about luck--basically a coin toss.
If you like her looks, I would hold onto her and keep showing her. -
I was thinking that but just the fact that she hasn't gone any higher concerns me some. Out of all of Dancers babies she is the only one that looks like him. I am thinking that I need to hold on to his babies as this may be Dancers last year to breed.

@Best friend, I am no expert but I would suggest holding on to her if she is what you want. She is still very young and until she reaches a higher training level, she won't compete in higher level shows. Right now she has a 50/50 shot at winning her classes - not the greatest odds.
If you want to, I would suggest having her PT scored. If she has a lower score than her sire and/or dam then that might indicate less quality as a show horse. As far as I understand it, PT score has nothing to do with breeding ability. The only way to know if she will be better as a broodmare is to wait and test her out as a broodmare.
I hope that helps make your decision easier. :) -
Woops! Looks like I posted a little later than Cheers. :P

Just PT scored her and she did better than both her parents. She got a 10.1 so I will definitely give her time.
-
Glad to hear! I hope she does you well in the future. She is beautiful. :)

Best, I was reading your response and I think you are indicating you were concerned that she isn't showing at higher than 1L level. Foals don't train at all until they turn 2, so they can't progress up the show levels. Some players don't show their foals at all because of that.
-
Aw ok cheers. I didn't know that but yes I thought she was a bad shower because she wasn't progressing and placing dead last.

Jist in case your not sure about future horses heres what i try to do. I always keep intact horses and judge their show carrier until their 5 sometimes up to 7if I'm having a really hard time culling. I don't have extra money to PT most of the extras so I take the long way round.----

I am very forgetful so if I owe you anything but am taking to long please send me a PM. I don't get on to play the game as often as I once did but I am usually most active during the 2nd and 3rd week of each month
