You know, the ones where you look at your barns and decide, "Today's the day. Today, they shall cower in fear of being Yummed." Well, today was mine. I Yummed every single Inconsistent gelding/spay in that barn, plus a few breeders. Why? Because I realized I had a ton of horses that weren't making the cut--or cash--and I needed to trim it back to something more manageable.

From a full 15-stall Gelding/Spay barn, I am left with a lean 7 horses.
From my Primary Barn, which has 35 stalls but only 17 in use, I am left with 10, 2 Yummed and 5 spayed mares, having ruthlessly spayed any mare below a 9.8--and that's only because that 9.8 had a pretty color ^.^

This brought my Gelding/Spay count back up to 12, but what's a girl to do? *shrugs*

But this will free up tons of space for this year's crop of foals, plus I made a chunk of cash, having Yummed 10 horses.

So, anyone else having one of those days?

(I hand-show on HJ1 too)...
But as I am training my horses myself, could I not 'cheat' so to speak and make it so my horses are trained to a certain score that will allow them to win? Then just stop training them and leave them at that point? Or would they automatically level up, forcing me to keep training them?

I'm not planning on testing out this theory, but I was merely curious.

Let me caveat this post by saying I never really had the time to figure out, or dedicate myself to, the showing side of the house. I have nothing but respect for those who have, it is time consuming to keep track of dozens of showers. I only say this so you understand that my knowledge of the show scene is pretty poor.

Anyways, I noticed that our HJ2 horses train about as quickly as the HJ1 horses, 3-4 points a week. Unlike HJ1 our horses age up every month. Do our horses still level off between 9-12ish, depending on their PT here on HJ2? If so does that mean we have half the time to train our horses, so they won't reach the higher levels of the show game easily? Have the show levels been adjusted to take the increased aging into account?

I don't really have a horse in this race, since I let autoshower do all of my showing, and usually end up losing money because I don't manage my herds for showing, but I know some folks do enjoy the showing side of things. This just sprang to mind this morning and I thought I would bring it up.
