My first twins!

I always get super excited seeing other people's twin foals posts, never really expecting to get any twins of my own, but! Today it happened! They are totally different in color, height, bone, everything, but both so adorable :x

Hard Learned Lesson

So, I'm testing this years pasture foals and with 200+ it takes awhile. All foals are BA (I don't have SBA) and PT tested. Mares that pass are then gene and breeding inspected. Stallions I'm stricter with so they are gene tested and if they don't meet certain requirements are spelded before I do breeding inspection. Going through the colts and one gene tests as Gold Champagne. As I'm breeding for black base and appaloosa that's two strikes against him, so I think there is no reason to check the actual genes. Click the the speld button and then paper him. Imagine my horror when when the "colt" papers Gold. I only have six other Gold mares so now I have to decide if she is worth unaltering.

I love talking about favorite studs. But I want this to be a little different, these studs have to be owned by someone other than yourself! It's just a good way to spread positivity, and get the word out for breeders. My favorite stud is "AGE SSSaW8 Mexican Sage" from @Antigone
I always get beauties out of him (on other accounts), he produces high PT babies, and I'm just a big W8 fan lol

Some new changes

I have a free account, so there's only so much I can do, but I've decided to change my breeding standards. My old rules used to be; score higher than 6 (lol), be any color other than bay or palomino, have some kind of white spotting, and they all had to be mares.
I look back at it and laugh because it's so dumb and oddly specific :))
My new rules are; all foals must score well over 10, be evenly bred, pass all tests, and not be a riding horse/pony (just because I'm not a fan). I'll try to incorporate superiority to sire tests later, but I'll have to wait until I upgrade. What are your Breeding rules?

Breeding season is here again, so I'm opening my stallion barn to the public

I've got a lot to choose from. I have warmblood and riding horse show stallions with a lot of points and high PT scores. Then theres my bread and butter, my drafts. These boys are tall and handsome...everyone is over 17 hands, except for my two foundation stallions who stand at 16.2 each. I have lots of Gene's to consider as well. Watercolor, splash M, green axiom, w8, mushroom, wrong warp, and pearl just to name a few. My boys are open for live cover or straws. Some of my boys arent listed for public stud only because of their closed genes but they are still available. Let me know if your interested. I'm so incredibly overjoyed! My "White Spotted Silver Classic Cream Champagne Roan Dun Splash Frame Appaloosa Rabicano" stud passed breeding! His color is really quite unique, there's only one other horse of his color in this game (both servers). His family members were really tricky to breed, and always struggled to pass breeding, but this guy managed to pull through! There are already 7 babies from him that passed breeding and majority of them jam-packed with color! The only thing left to do is test if he's superior to his sire. I'm so happy to continue his breeding career lol. He's het MC1R, het Dun, het Flaxen, het Silver, het Champagne, het Leopard, het Rabicano, and KIT m + KIT r, so he's a little bit of (almost) everything. Any suggestions of colors to breed for, or breed to? Hopefully, some of my fellow uneven breeders will consider him this season!

So I rolled an expro tobiano today and quite happily activated it and started creating to see what I would get. At the end of the creates, I ended up with two basically identical mares! Both are het nd1 and both are sooty chestnuts! What luck!

Anyone else in a big spring clean?
I have been off work with a very bad head cold but this game has kept me busy!
The pastures have been spruced up - harrowed and seeded and only the best girls have gone back!
All you "it has to be even, no I mean really even" people will be glad to know I have sorted all my even from my slightly uneven horses. I gelded the boys (that hurt so much a few became bootstrap studs!) and made all the mares bootstraps or show ponies. I now have over 800 bootstrap girls in barns and my pastures actually have space for a few choice foundations!
I will be going through the mares as a lot have never seen the inside of a barn since they were 2 years old so are not good showers and may be up for auction in the next few days. Lots of DP browns and livers with pretty spots. As long as you don't mind them slightly uneven! :P

I'm so happy with how this one came out! He's out of my fav stud on this server, "AGE DSSaW8 Mexican Sage" and he also scored over 11, so we'll see if he passes breeding. But I'm in love with this W8 Ice combo, and I'd love to see more of it!

The begining of my A papered foundation test!

I tested my new A papered foundation on a group of 10 exceptional producing mares with a 30+ pasture bonus. I believe three passed basic breeding advice (maybe four), one being an A papered (11 pt) colt, and the rest being blue mares with pt scores over 10.5.

Is it possible to get stars/golds out of red foundations with a full bonus? I obviously didn't have a large amount of mares to test him on, so maybe ill give him a full 50 coverage next month and see what he produces.

This one was already silver bay, so I added a Sooty allele to darken her up a bit.

These girls are very special to me, they were a gift to represent my little ladies! What I'm wondering is should I gender change one of them, both of them, or leave them be? I'd like to make a line from them so I'm not sure what to do. Id like to make a line so when they eventually age out I'll still have something to remember them by! I know itll take a full 30 day pasture bonus with red foundations to possibly get gold mares if I were to gender change one. What do you guys think? If I do change one, which one and why? Of I gender change one I'll send a straw from each stud to commenters!

Hello,

Just an FYI post, I am willing to buy genes for people. I don't normally have the self control to to save all the way up for the big barns, so I appreciate a little help with hbs. I can only spend about 20$ of real money a month.

The rest of this month I have enough money to buy one copy of one of the genes for someone. First come first serve this month, but if you would like something next month let me know. I know everyone asks for something different, although I would prefer 100,000hbs for 1$ of real money. So 1,000,000 for a 10$ gene, or 1,500,000 for the 15$ gene.
